Update on Live It Active

Good morning!

I’m not sure how many people actually visit and read through the site, but I think it important to provide an update on the status of Live It Active.

Approximately 10 months ago, I moved out West to begin a career with the Canadian Mental Health Association as the Manager for Workplace Mental Health. In this capacity, I help workplaces to become more psychologically safe and healthy – it’s a dream job (and I encourage you to check out our program and product offering).

“So what’s the status of Live It Active”, you ask. Currently, it is not in operation; however, that does not mean that it won’t ever be again. I will post updates to this site as necessary. And I plan to keep the site up and running (or at least the domain name) as I may return to this business one day.

Yet, while I may not be doing anything in the Live It Active capacity for a while, my good friend and I will be launching a physical activity challenge in Calgary, AB in fall 2013. I will post updates to this site as necessary. I am sincerely looking forward to this endeavour!

If you have any questions, please leave a comment on the site.

Thank you!

Morgan

Welcome to Live It Active!

Welcome to Live It Active!

Live It Active is a registered health promotion consultancy located in Guelph, Ontario. We specialize in the development, implementation and management of tailored health promotion programs for small to large businesses, organizations and corporations.

What we do

Live It Active will help you to create and sustain a happier, healthier and more productive workforce. We will accomplish this daring feat by helping you to develop and implement a tailored health & wellness program that encompasses the needs of your employees while remaining focused on your bottom line.

Benefit to your Business

Why invest in a health & wellness program for your workplace? Here’s why:

  • For every $1 spent on health promotion, businesses experience about a $3.27 reduction in medical costs and $2.37 reduction in absenteeism associated costs[1]
  • Employees who reduce their stress levels can save employers approximately $925/year[2]
  • Employees who quit smoking can save their employers approximately $3,396/year[3]
  • On average, Canadian workers who experience minimal stress call in sick an average of 6x/year relative to their stressed out counterparts who call in almost 14x/year[4]
  • Improved employee retention and ability to attract high calibre employees
  • Increased productivity
  • Improved client satisfaction
  • Enhanced business growth

The old adage, “you get what you give” fits quite nicely (well, we think so at least). The healthier your workforce, the more productive they are. The more productive they are, the better your bottom line.
